2 Weeks of Fun

So I haven't been as diligent as I would have hoped in keeping up with my postings, but I'm hoping to get better! Today I'll be writing (and showing pictures) about some of the things we have done in the past couple of weeks.

On April 28th, Kobey and I went out with some friends. I can count on my fingers how many times we have gone out and left the kids home with a babysitter since the twins have been born. It hasn't been many, so we really appreciate it when we get a chance to go out! I have known these ladies since middle school, and it's crazy to think how long ago that was. I'm so glad we're still friends! We all went out to eat before we headed over to TopGolf for some very competitive games. Pretty sure I won one of the games! (Right, Daniel!?) :)
It was such a fun night and I'm so glad we went out!

Before their haircuts
(Giving each other high fives)

May 1st- The boys got haircuts! This would make their 3rd haircut ever. They did pretty well in comparison to their last 2 haircuts. The first one went horrible, and they did not like it at all! The second time went a little better; Luke had to sit in Kobey's lap, but Logan was content sitting in one of those little cars. As long as I was nearby, he was okay. This last time, they both sat in my lap, but sat very still and did really good! I love the place we go to now, because it has a lot of neat play features and they can play while the other gets their haircut. I don't have to worry about them getting into anything or going somewhere where I can't see them.

Logan wasn't happy I made him sit down
It's definitely my favorite spot so far, and I love that I can take them by myself!

Sneak Peak
Photographer Deena Riley

May 5th- Portrait Party Day!!
I hosted a Portrait Party where a bunch of people came and a photographer, Deena Riley, took pictures of everyone's families! It was so much fun! We chose an outdoor location, and even though it was really hot outside, we were under a lot of shade, so it wasn't too bad. We had a little incident of Peyton spilling bubbles on his shorts right before we took our pictures, but hopefully it doesn't show up too bad in the pictures. I've seen one sneak peak of my boys, and I love it! I was hoping she would get at least one of all of them looking at the camera and she definitely did! So excited to see the rest when she's finished with them!

May 6th- Kobey, my mom, the twins, and I went to a PAMOM (Plano Area Mother's of Multiples) social at The Village Beach in Fairview. We love this little area, and it's so relaxing and fun! There is a sand pit with a playground, fountains that spray out of the ground that the kids can play in, and lots of room for the boys to run and play. We sat at a picnic table and ate pizza that PAMOM provided for us, and let the boys play in the sand for a while before we headed over to the fountains. Last year, they didn't like the fountains very much, but this year they seem to like them a lot better! Later that night, Kobey and I talked about making it our 'Sunday thing' this summer (as long as it's not too hot or icky out). We really like it there and the boys seem to enjoy it a lot, so I'm hoping we can make it work!

May 8th-  I went to our PAMOM Board Installation Dinner at Patrizio's in Fairview. So yummy!!
I'm so excited to be on the board again next year for PAMOM. I'm keeping my role in 'Socials' and I decided to take on an additional role as Co-Chair for Children's Parties! I'm very excited!! We had a really fun dinner, and I'm so excited to be a part of such an awesome group of MoMs!

May 10th was our last swim class! Luke and Logan took lessons for 6 weeks and I'm so proud of how far they have come since day 1. They can now float on their backs, swim towards the ledge, and if they get disoriented in the water, they can find their way back to the surface to float! Luke is doing awesome at kicking his legs, but Logan still needs to work on it some more. During the last lesson, I got in the water with them so the instructor could teach me how to continue teaching them. I plan to make swimming a big part of our summer and I'm so glad they have the survival skills they need in case anything were to happen; It definitely gives me peace of mind.

We also had a birthday party to go to that evening at The Village Beach! Kaden and Kerrigan turned 5!

Luke loves his party favors!
Logan loves his party favors, too!

So there it is. My super long and lots of info/pictures posting. I promise I'll get better at this! :)
