IHOP

My sister and I took the boys to eat breakfast at IHOP this morning! The boys were still asleep when I left the house this morning, so she stayed home with them while I went up to the college to talk to the advsiors about some classes. When I got home, we loaded them up and went to eat! I've taken them to IHOP before, but I have never taken them there for breakfast. It was delicious, as always, and they ate all of their food, plus some of mine and Felicia's! They made friends at the table next to us, as well as the one behind us. One of the ladies mentioned she had twin girls who will be turning 3 this July. I always hate love getting the comments about other people and how they have twins, or are a twin themselves, or their sister's-husband's-uncle's-brother is a twin. I can't 'complain' too much because I've caught myself doing it once or twice as well. It's inevitable, I guess!

Anyways, we had a lot of fun, and afterwards we went to the mall to do a little shopping!

I didn't bring the stroller, so they got to ride in the little car at the mall.
They loved it!

Rangers Game

not the best picture of us, but it works :)
Luke and Logan (and Kobey!) went to their first Texas Rangers baseball game tonight! I also got tickets for my mom and little sister to go with us. The boys did pretty good at the game, they just weren't into sitting down the whole time. When we first arrived, they sat down long enough to eat their hot dogs, then they wanted to run around.

We found a row of seats that we blocked off and let them run inbetween us on their own little aisle.  They liked dancing to the music and would clap when everyone else did. We took them out into the stadium and let them run around to get some energy out. Our PAMOM group was there, so we saw a lot of our friends and got to sit with everyone. It was a lot of fun, and I think the boys really enjoyed it!

again, not the best picture, but there we are!
We didn't get a chance to watch a lot of the game, but it was still nice to get out of the house for the night and let the boys experience something new. I really wish Peyton was already out of school so he could have went with us. We will definitely have to try and plan another night to just take him out to watch the game. I know he would have a lot of fun!

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's day to all the mommy's out there!

Here is a picture of me and my two little love muffins on Mother's Day!
They weren't too thrilled that I pulled them aside from all the fun for a picture.

Banana Cookies!

This morning the boys helped me make some yummy banana cookies! They were so easy to make, and took no time all. I'm not a huge fan of chocolate chips, so I will probably substitute them for raisins next time, but they turned out really good!

Big Helpers
Logan, Luke

 Healthy Banana Cookies:

 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
 2 1/2 cup oats
 1/3 cup applesauce
 1/3 cup honey
 1 tsp vanilla
 1/2 tsp cinnamon
 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl, and let them sit for 15 minutes. Then spoon the dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

Here is the link where I got the recipe from.

All mixed up!

2 Weeks of Fun

So I haven't been as diligent as I would have hoped in keeping up with my postings, but I'm hoping to get better! Today I'll be writing (and showing pictures) about some of the things we have done in the past couple of weeks.

On April 28th, Kobey and I went out with some friends. I can count on my fingers how many times we have gone out and left the kids home with a babysitter since the twins have been born. It hasn't been many, so we really appreciate it when we get a chance to go out! I have known these ladies since middle school, and it's crazy to think how long ago that was. I'm so glad we're still friends! We all went out to eat before we headed over to TopGolf for some very competitive games. Pretty sure I won one of the games! (Right, Daniel!?) :)
It was such a fun night and I'm so glad we went out!

Before their haircuts
(Giving each other high fives)

May 1st- The boys got haircuts! This would make their 3rd haircut ever. They did pretty well in comparison to their last 2 haircuts. The first one went horrible, and they did not like it at all! The second time went a little better; Luke had to sit in Kobey's lap, but Logan was content sitting in one of those little cars. As long as I was nearby, he was okay. This last time, they both sat in my lap, but sat very still and did really good! I love the place we go to now, because it has a lot of neat play features and they can play while the other gets their haircut. I don't have to worry about them getting into anything or going somewhere where I can't see them.
After their haircuts!
Logan wasn't happy I made him sit down
It's definitely my favorite spot so far, and I love that I can take them by myself!

Sneak Peak
Photographer Deena Riley

May 5th- Portrait Party Day!!
I hosted a Portrait Party where a bunch of people came and a photographer, Deena Riley, took pictures of everyone's families! It was so much fun! We chose an outdoor location, and even though it was really hot outside, we were under a lot of shade, so it wasn't too bad. We had a little incident of Peyton spilling bubbles on his shorts right before we took our pictures, but hopefully it doesn't show up too bad in the pictures. I've seen one sneak peak of my boys, and I love it! I was hoping she would get at least one of all of them looking at the camera and she definitely did! So excited to see the rest when she's finished with them!

May 6th- Kobey, my mom, the twins, and I went to a PAMOM (Plano Area Mother's of Multiples) social at The Village Beach in Fairview. We love this little area, and it's so relaxing and fun! There is a sand pit with a playground, fountains that spray out of the ground that the kids can play in, and lots of room for the boys to run and play. We sat at a picnic table and ate pizza that PAMOM provided for us, and let the boys play in the sand for a while before we headed over to the fountains. Last year, they didn't like the fountains very much, but this year they seem to like them a lot better! Later that night, Kobey and I talked about making it our 'Sunday thing' this summer (as long as it's not too hot or icky out). We really like it there and the boys seem to enjoy it a lot, so I'm hoping we can make it work!

May 8th-  I went to our PAMOM Board Installation Dinner at Patrizio's in Fairview. So yummy!!
I'm so excited to be on the board again next year for PAMOM. I'm keeping my role in 'Socials' and I decided to take on an additional role as Co-Chair for Children's Parties! I'm very excited!! We had a really fun dinner, and I'm so excited to be a part of such an awesome group of MoMs!

May 10th was our last swim class! Luke and Logan took lessons for 6 weeks and I'm so proud of how far they have come since day 1. They can now float on their backs, swim towards the ledge, and if they get disoriented in the water, they can find their way back to the surface to float! Luke is doing awesome at kicking his legs, but Logan still needs to work on it some more. During the last lesson, I got in the water with them so the instructor could teach me how to continue teaching them. I plan to make swimming a big part of our summer and I'm so glad they have the survival skills they need in case anything were to happen; It definitely gives me peace of mind.

We also had a birthday party to go to that evening at The Village Beach! Kaden and Kerrigan turned 5!

Luke loves his party favors!
Logan loves his party favors, too!

So there it is. My super long and lots of info/pictures posting. I promise I'll get better at this! :)
